ST.SWITHINS DAY

On 15 of july there’s a church festival commemorating St.Swithin; in popular belief, if it rains on this day it will continue raining for the next forty days…

With a broken heart I dedicate this song to the memory of my sister Myras son Kenneth who died tragically on Saturday 8th of March 2008 at the very young age of 33. May God rest his soul. If this song lifts your heart, I hope the positivity wings its way to Dublin to comfort my devastated sisters heart. Love and peace, Joe

People ‘round me complaining

Saying what the hell has come over me

Cats and dogs it’s been raining

But no umbrellas for you and me

We’re protected baby, we’re protected in love

On St.Swithins day

Let it rain on me

Let it rain all over me

Let it rain on me

Let it rain on me

People ‘round us are weary

Saying we’ve got most peculiar ways

When it rains we see clearly

You can keep you’re sun-shiny days

We’re protected baby, we’re protected in love

On St.Swithins day

Let it rain on me

Let it rain all over me

Let it rain on me

Let it rain on me

People seeking salvation

On board the ark of security

But when it rains revelation

We’ll walk naked down by the sea

We’re protected baby, we’re protected in love

On St.Swithins day

Let it rain on me

Let it rain all over me

Let it rain on me

Let it rain on me
